1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering, bidding, or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use this site or participate in any auction.

West Coast Beer Sign Auctions reserves the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Eligibility to Bid

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to register and bid
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information
  • We reserve the right to approve, deny, or revoke bidding privileges at our sole discretion

3. Binding Agreement

All bids placed on this website are legally binding contracts.

By placing a bid, you agree to:

  • purchase the item if you are the winning bidder
  • pay the full invoice amount within the required timeframe

Failure to complete a purchase may result in:

  • account suspension or termination
  • cancellation of bids
  • restriction from future auctions

4. Auction Format

All auctions are conducted as timed online auctions.

  • Each lot has a scheduled closing time
  • A soft close feature may extend bidding if bids are placed near closing
  • The auction will continue until no further bids are placed within the extension period

We reserve the right to:

  • modify or cancel any auction
  • withdraw items at any time
  • refuse any bid for any reason

5. Bid Increments & Proxy Bidding

  • All bids must follow set bid increments
  • The platform may offer proxy (automatic) bidding on behalf of users
  • In the event of identical bids, the first bid received takes precedence

6. Reserve Prices

Some items may have a reserve price.

  • If the reserve is not met, the item may not be sold
  • West Coast Beer Sign Auctions reserves the right to accept or reject any bid below reserve

7. Item Descriptions & Condition

All items are:

  • vintage, pre-owned, and sold as-is, where-is

We make reasonable efforts to:

  • accurately describe items
  • photograph visible condition issues

However:

  • all descriptions are opinions, not guarantees
  • we do not guarantee authenticity, condition, or completeness
  • buyers are responsible for reviewing all photos and descriptions before bidding

No refunds, returns, or exchanges will be issued based on condition or description.

8. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due within 48 hours of auction close unless otherwise stated
  • Accepted payment methods will be displayed at checkout

Failure to pay may result in:

  • cancellation of the sale
  • account suspension
  • restriction from future participation

We reserve the right to:

  • charge the payment method on file
  • pursue legal remedies for non-payment

9. Buyer’s Premium (if applicable)

A buyer’s premium will be added to the final hammer price.

  • This Buyer’s premium is 15%
  • The buyer’s premium is non-refundable

10. Taxes

Applicable sales tax will be added to invoices where required by law.

Buyers are responsible for:

  • any applicable local, state, or federal taxes

11. Shipping & Pickup

Each item listing will specify shipping or pickup requirements.

Shipping

  • Shipping costs may be calculated separately or invoiced after the auction
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers

Pickup

  • Buyers must arrange pickup within the stated timeframe
  • Items not picked up may incur storage fees or be considered abandoned

Third-Party Delivery

  • Some items may require third-party delivery
  • We are not responsible for damage, loss, or handling by third-party shippers

12. Risk of Loss

All risk transfers to the buyer:

  • upon shipment, or
  • upon release for pickup

We strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance where available.

13. No Returns or Refunds

All sales are final.

We do not accept:

  • returns
  • refunds
  • exchanges

No exceptions will be made for:

  • buyer’s remorse
  • condition concerns
  • failure to review listing details

14. Limitation of Liability

West Coast Beer Sign Auctions shall not be liable for:

  • technical errors or interruptions
  • bidding system failures
  • lost bids or delayed bids
  • inaccuracies in listings
  • damages resulting from use of the site

Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the purchase price of the item.

15. Website Use

You agree not to:

  • manipulate or interfere with auctions
  • use automated bidding tools or bots
  • submit false information
  • attempt to disrupt the website

Violations may result in immediate account termination.

16. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to:

  • refuse service to anyone
  • cancel bids or transactions
  • remove users from the platform

At any time and for any reason.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless West Coast Beer Sign Auctions from any claims, damages, or disputes arising from:

  • your participation in auctions
  • your use of the website
  • failure to comply with these terms

18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located within California.
